So... I've been on summer break for almost a month now and it's been sooooooo nice to actually bum around and do whatever I want. It's both a good and a bad thing that UST doesn't offer advanced summer classes... I won't really get to lessen my already extremely heavy load but at least I get to have a worry-free vacation!
Mostly, I've been a geek this summer. Haha. I've pretty much spent most of my time focusing on photography and digital imaging which is honestly really addicting actually. So far, I've taken Photoshop and Illustrator classes and both were really good! I finally get to brush up on all my self-taught crappy skills. Haha.
Aaaaaaaand I leave for Palawan on the 11th! Woooooooooot! It's my first time there and I'm sure it'll be hella fun. And to add to that, my mom and I are going as part of a photography workshop with WIG TYSMANS! What a freaking dream come true. Can't wait. Soooooo can't wait!
But I do wish I could repeat last summer all over again though :( Bora + New York... that was an absolutely AMAZING experience! And last summer... CV was still here :( Ceevs come baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!

I say I have never deserved it as much as I do now. And will probably deserve it more in the future... Haha. Crazy course.
But i'm just so damn happy it's finally summer. I haven't had a break since sem break. Hooooly hell. My Christmas break was spent doing plates anyway so that was really useless. Haha. So thank god for 3 months of not driving all the way to the crazy streets of Manila.. which i'll kinda actually miss.. kinda.

Oh man... I just heard the funniest thing in school the other day while passing by the UST gradeschool area...

HAHAHA. I kinda felt bad for the kid but it was cute too. Haha.

I literally have NO BREAK. Our design teacher gave us a major plate to do over the break... and it's to be submitted right when we get back. GREAT. That's the life of an Archi student for ya... work, work, work.

I enrolled myself in a seminar this weekend called The Landmark Forum. It's all about finding a new realm of possibilities and actually seeing manifestation in action. It was the first day today and it's been pretty interesting! I kinda got the idea that this whole forum is about acknowledging that you already know but don't know... and confronting these issues. Good day 1... hope day 2'll be better!
Funny highlight of the forum:
There was this French guy (around 30+)we had dinner with during our break and we had an assignment to think of possibilities in life that we can make happen. So you know... people'd write stuff like 'I want to be a happier person' or 'I want to let go of the past'... And this guy tells us his:
The possibility I want to happen is to be able to buy land in Jamaica and sell weed, opium and heroine to the world!
HAHAHAHAHA I couldn't stop laughing.
Oh and another funny moment that happened in our humanities class:
Prof: So, can anyone else give us an example of the difference between past and classic?
Gadia: The difference between past and classic is just like McDonald's chicken nuggets. Classic is like the barbeque sauce and past is like the shrek sauce.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I can't believe he gave that as an example.

I haven't exactly been very productive this sem break.. I've been catching up on my sleep but that's about it. I've only been out.. pretty much twice. HAHA. The beach trip and Christel's house last Saturday. Crap. Bum much. SOME ONE GET MY LAZY ASS OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!
Anyway, so I had clearance today for the next sem and THANK GOD. I passed all my subjects! I haven't seen my grades yet since I was too lazy to line up so i'll just wait til they're available online. Passing them all is good enough for now.

Our design teacher asked us all to come in our highschool uniforms today... dunno why though... but it was fun! Haha. Even if today was so useless, I was so happy to be wearing plaid again. SHIT. I missed having pockets so much! HAHA. My class decided to change back after design ended... but I stayed in my AC uniform the whole day. HAHAHA I LOVE IT. People must've thought I was psycho.

WHAT A DAY.
I went to school at around 8 today to take 2 of my exams. Unfortunately, it started raining REALLY hard and UST being in Manila and all... the traffic was HORRIBLE. So I ended up being 10 mins. late for my exam. bummer.
That's not the worst part though. On our way back to Makati, Ange and I were stuck in the car for a good 4 hours because it floods in Manila like hell! It was really crazy... people outside were practically on boats already! HAHA. Aaaaaanddd... to make things even worse, it flooded INSIDE ANGE'S CAR! Hahahaha. It was pretty hilarious actually. There was one point where we couldn't find her shoe cause it was under water already!
What an adventure.
At least I ended my day well though. Thanks to Pia, Maui, Ange and Gia! The Bourne Ultimatum is a really good movie. PLEASE WATCH IT.

I miss 4th year english class. It was one of the only subjects EVER that i'd really look forward to cause it was never boring. Boo. Sometimes I wish that I didn't have to take our stupid english class in UST (cause it obviously doesn't make sense) and replace it with AC english class. Haha. Our freaking teacher doesn't even know what she's talking about... and we're studying really really really basic grammar.
I have 4 preliminary exams to take tomorrow. Holy hell. I never thought that was possible! But from what I heard, Poveda was like that too. Scary.

I love this week! Things have been going really well for the past few days.. especially yesterday and today.
I love wednesdays cause right after PE, our block always stays for a bit to hang out. They are fun to be with and all we ever do is laugh.. eat... and eat some more. Hahaha. I had lunch with my relatives in Portico last night... it was my 5th time to eat there already but I enjoyed myself anyway! Visited fully booked after which was pretty cool actually. I felt like I was in SF! Hahaha. The cool thing about that place is that it was designed by a really young architect... she's only 27 and already a big-time designer! So awesome. At around midnight, Kate visited us at home to discuss design plans for her new store. We got the job!! Haha. My sister and I are so happy cause it's a pretty big project! I love Kate. She's one of the nicest people I know. The three of us had a real heart-to-heart talk last night and it was a real good way to end the night.
Thursdays in our class have been declared as lesbian thursdays. HAHAHA. We're crazy people. So thursdays are usually pretty interesting. HAHA. We drew a car in design class today! It was pretty cool except for the fact that we were under the sun for 4 hours. I'll probably be extremely black by the end of the sem.
And i'm so proud of ange! Haha. There's this modeling thing in our building and she decided to audition. HAHA. Just for fun. Well most of the people auditioning came from our class anyway... it was hilarious!
And I love UST to death for giving us so many no class days! Every time there's a feast of a saint or whatever... we have no class! So we don't have class next wednesday, tuesday morning and this friday of course. YEEEAAAAHHHH.

UST's been so generous with cuts lately. I love it. This whole week... I've probably only had one full day of class! On Monday, our theo teacher decided to dismiss us half an hour early
On Tuesday, all we had was some recollection in the morning
On Wednesday, our one and only class (which is PE) was cancelled due to UAAP preparations... so technically I only had 5 mins. of class
Today, this archi org has a seminar and decides that since majority of our class is part of it... they'd cancel classes in the afternoon so they can all attend
Hahaha. And tomorrow, we might just have a film showing so classes might get cancelled... again! YEEESSSSSS.
Oh and I have more hilarious stuff from my Bea Caubat-like classmates:
Teacher: So, does anyone have any questions so far?
*Classmate raises up his hand*
Teacher: Yes, sir?
Classmate: Uh... wala lang... gusto ko lang mag hi!
(During our introduce yourself thing in our first week of design class)

Man... I love my block. They're freaking funny and so down to earth! Yesterday, it felt like I had a dozen Bea Caubats in my class! Hahaha. I miss that girl and her weirdness.
During an 'introduce yourself' activity in English class:
Guy: Hi, my name is Isagani Apolonio. You can call me Isagani-Apol-Junior for short
Guy #2: Good morning everyone, my name is (I forgot his name) and my favorite hobbies are: Tong-its, sleeping, eating...
Guy#3: Hi, my name is (I forgot too) and umm... I was a former highschool student...
Guy#4: ... and you know, I'm also single! You never know, I could be the right match for you!
Teacher: Is there anyone else I have not called yet?
Guy#5: Ah... ma'am... there's another one more
Hahahaha. School's been really fun! Can't wait for next week. :)

My first day of college... wasn't really much of a first day actually.
First of all, Ange and I were late for our first class. HAHA. But it was just some orientation thing for PE so they let us off. Then we had a pep rally which was HILARIOUS. I never thought I'd ever be cheering the cheers I make fun of in basketball games. HAHA. Go USTe! Go USTe! Funny stuff.
Then Ange and I found out that we don't have that stupid 5 hour break between classes on Wednesdays. YESSSSSS. All we have on Wednesdays now is just PE from 7-9am! THANK GOD. Our afternoon class was moved to Thursday... which I don't mind actually.
Then we had lunch with the Cagalingan family. Haha. I love them!

OH. MY. GOD.
I went on a campus tour of The Savannah College of Art and Design just yesterday and it is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.
They have such a nice campus! It's a mixture of both old and new and it's FULL of art. I love it. You really don't feel like you're in a school. Their student center... has touch screen tvs and some nanopod thing for sleeping. It's sooooooo cool.
The best part about it was the fashion department. They get BIG TIME guests like Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and the Top Model people to come and give lectures and sponsor events every year! And guess what? The students use cloth donated to them by PRADA. WOW. It makes me wanna study fashion... even if I was never really interested!
I'm hoping to get that scholarship! *crosses fingers* I'd love to study there. No kidding.
I'm in Florida right now! Yaaaaay. It was a random decision to travel all the way here to visit the Kennedy Space Center and Universal Studios. HOORAY! I'm pretty psyched for that.

Hey ya'll! I'm down South right now! Haha. Still in the US... but way down in Georgia. No malls near my ninang's house... so it's been all peace and quiet since I got here.
I actually just got back yesterday from a pretty long road trip. We went to so many places in such a short span of time! But it was pretty amazing.
Kentucky was actually really beautiful. I've never seen mountains more beautiful than theirs. And I was able to stand on the border that separates Virginia from Kentucky! I was actually in two places at one time! Haha.
Then we headed out to North Carolina. I loved it there! They had great small towns there... it actually felt like Stars Hallow (Gilmore girls)! We also got to visit the HUGE (and when I say HUGE I mean HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGEEEEE) estate of the Vanderbilts! It was one of the tourist attractions there. It was 8,000 acres of PRIVATELY OWNED land! I never even thought that was possible! And their house and around 43 bedrooms! It was so unbelievable.
I still can't get over my New York trip though. Those times were probably some of the happiest times of my life. I had such a good time with my friends there... I never wanted it to end! I'm definitely going back to New York with them in the near future.
Another good part about that trip was the HUGE number of celebs we got to see!
